The mission of Maxson & Associates is to provide accounting, tax, and financial consulting services that are focused on enabling our clients to achieve their individually defined goals of wealth building and wealth retention. We render these services in a manner that is consistent with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Starting with a small desk in the corner of a garage over 35 years ago, founder, Perry Maxson, and his son, Larry, began a public accounting firm with the goal of providing small business owners with meaningful financial statements that would help them profitably run their companies.
Perry Maxson, a licensed public accountant, had worked for nearly twenty years in building a specialty retail company from 3 stores to a large chain with 27 stores throughout Southern California. Ultimately, the enterprise was sold to a publicly traded company.
Perry then took all these years of management experience and in 1970 formed a public accounting firm to begin offering this expertise to his clients. Larry, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Cal State University—Long Beach and experience working with one of the "Big Eight" accounting firms, soon joined him.
Today, Maxson & Associates has two offices—in Long Beach and in Orange, with five professionals and a team of dedicated support staff. Maxson & Associates provides a full range of accounting and tax services to a vast array of clients.
